Crispy Oven Baked Fries (Oil Free)

I don’t think I have ever met a person who does not enjoy eating crispy fries. If I ever do meet someone who doesn’t like fries would I actually be able to trust them? I’m only kidding, but it’s true, fries are a snack that always has people from all ages gathering around when they are ready. I have been meaning to put this recipe on my blog for some time now. I make fries all the time but I’ve never actually sat down and measured spices or even thought about what spices I enjoy most on them. I sort of just throw a bunch of stuff on them, pop them in the oven and cover in condiments. They are pretty mindless to make, but I suppose that is easy for someone who is always in the kitchen to say. I hope you get the chance to try these, they are oil free, meaning a much healthier choice to go for when craving french fries.

 

You will need 4 russet potatoes (washed!)

 

Slice the potatoes nice and thin. If you enjoy thicker fries feel free to cut into wedges.

 

Nutritional yeast, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, and chili powder. (Entire recipe will be posted down below)

 

In a large enough bowl, coat the potatoes with the nutritional yeast and spices by tossing them around until covered. Place them on a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper and cook for about 26-28 minutes on 420 degrees Fahrenheit (flipping once half way through).

 

Plate & serve with whatever dipping sauce you enjoy most!

 

 

Crispy Oven Baked Fries (Oil Free)

  • 4 Russet Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Parsley
  • ¼ tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp. Nutritional Yeast

Directions:

1.)  Pre-heat Oven to 420 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.)  On a cutting board, use a sharp knife to thinly slice potatoes.

3.)  Place the potato slices into a large bowl.

4.)  Mix all the spices together and toss the fries with the spices and nutritional yeast, until well coated.

5.)  Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly place the fries on the baking sheet.

6.)  Cook for about 26 – 28 minutes (Flipping once half way through)

7.)  Take out of the oven, let cool, plate and enjoy with your favorite condiments!
