Energizing Banana Smoothie

Good Morning!

I don’t know about you, but mornings and I just do not get along. I’ll hit the snooze button 3 to 6 times before I even consider pushing the sheets off.

Lately, I have tried to adapt some type of routine that helps get the day started earlier with a little more ease. Yes, of course coffee helps, but I do understand that not everyone enjoys the taste of coffee or does well with a sudden burst of caffeine (specially those who deal with anxiety). Besides, let’s be real – as awesome as it sounds – we cannot entirely live off of coffee.

I’ve created a very simple, enjoyable morning smoothie that will leave you feeling awakened, refreshed and energized.

I love a big comfy, familiar breakfast in the morning, but smoothies are a lot more practical. You can grab and go. It’s Monday and with a busy week ahead, I figured this would be an appropriate breakfast to share!

 

Breakfast

Energizing Banana Smoothie:

  • 1-2 tbsp. of matcha green tea powder
  • 2 frozen bananas (Seriously add as many bananas as you like! This is what suits my morning needs)
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • Water (sub for coconut water or favorite plant-based milk)

Directions: Blend in blender and drink.

Note: Depending on the blender you have, some mason jars screw onto the blenders lid. This makes it easy to blend and drink, while saving time! The type of blender that fits my mason jars is an Oster.
